What the ...?

RockDogs is an original comedy series centering around the crazy power struggle within a dysfunctional garage band.

The band's egotistical frontman is Zeke (Dave Eastgate), a narcissistic lead singer who fancies he can channel the rock gods of the past. His vision for the band is forever being challenged by his arch-rival, the middle-class intellectual guitarist Jamie (Damien Power). The band's dynamic drummer Smegs (Steve Philp) refuses to take anything seriously, while bass-player Spike (Andrew Thompson) is either zonked out or lost in the haze of the good old days in a long line of failed punk bands. Overseeing this chaos is the band's slick-yet-shonky Celtic manager Baz (Baz McAlister), a man with his finger in too many pies, some of them a good deal more sinister than you might imagine. And wafting through the centre of all this disorder is the lead singer's neurotic girlfriend and self-professed number one fan, Trendi (Hayley Jones).

Living from hand to mouth, from gig to gig, the RockDogs reside in a rundown suburban Brisbane house that's slowly disappearing under a landslide of unpaid bills and crushed beer cans.

RockDogs is a new blend of original comedy, mindless stupidity and clever wit and features master performances from a cast of super-talented established and up-and-coming comedians and actors.
