You’ve spoken. We’ve listened.
So from this week on, the RockDogs season 1 webisodes will be premiering on Wednesdays, not Fridays. Got it? That’s the next episode of rampant RockDoggery, comin’ at you two whole days earlier than you expected. But that’s how this garage band rolls, baby. Rock’n’roll ain’t got no rules, dig?
This decision’s come straight from the Corridors Of Power – by which we mean the hallway outside the RockDogs Management office.
“The internet is a powerful tool, but who the hell wants to sit and fiddle around with it on Friday night?” says RockDogs manager Baz [surname withheld on request], from behind his desk in the nerve centre of the DogHouse.
“I sit and fiddle around with my tool most nights,” puts in RockDogs bassist Spike Stoner.
“Spike, get your arse out of here!” continues Baz. “What I mean is, our viewers are young. They’re savvy. They’re active. They’re hip – sometimes tragically so. RockDogs fans are out on a Friday night, not twiddling around online. And for that matter, the RockDogs are out on a Friday night, too. Usually busk… I mean, playing gigs. Partying up a storm. Unleashing face-melting licks that turn audiences into puddles of awestruck primordial goo. So why would our fans wanna be staring into a computer screen when they could be out catching the real thing?”
“Except, this Friday night we’re only playing outside a fish and chip shop at 6. We’ll be done by 6.30,” says Stoner through a crack in the door.
Baz’s next comments had to be so heavily censored as to not be worth reproducing here – but you get the picture.
